            In the article “Darfur Needs the United States,” the unknown author provides the reader with a brief background of the crisis in Sudan as well as the necessary steps the United States has taken in pursuit of a better path toward peace in the African country of Sudan.             The author takes a broad and informational approach but still analyzes the peace processes in depth while added his or her perspective on the international involvement of the United States. The article announces the excessive withdrawals and utter failures of different policies by the Bush administration.             I personally really appreciated this article. The author understands the dilemma the United States and the United Nations must deal with as long as the previous actions each has taken both individually and together in order to endorse peace in Sudan. While the author portrays their individual opinion, he or she backs the decision with facts and keeps the piece informative.
